How to deal with pain, loss, sadness, or tackling difficulties

All of us can become broken or lost in many different ways. Whether it is through the pain we create for ourselves or the pain inflected on us by others, but it is how we deal with it that truly helps or hurts our lives and ourselves.
 

Some of us choose to carry this pain around, but it consumes us and prevents us from living.


Some of us choose to ignore it and our emotions. They bury it deep down and rely on drugs, alcohol, or someone else to distract them from it yet always  it haunts them and prevents them from experiencing prolonged happiness or appreciating love.

 

Some of us choose to accept it, gain the courage to understand it, and by working through it are able to move forward, release it, and overcome it.

 

Next time you have to deal with a difficult situation, I would urge you not to escape it or avoid it, but to try and look at it as an opportunity to grow and to learn. Work through it, understand it, and learn how to let it go so that the only thing you hold onto is the lessons you have learned from it. Don't reach for convenient and easy solutions and don't be confused between your mind and your hurt and get lost in your emotions. This will not solve your problem nor bring you forward, it will only keep you lost instead of free… push through it. Work through your emotions, your pain, your confusion, and learn to rise above it, to see what you have learned about yourself and what you can do moving forward to better your life and your relationships. Through darkness we how to light the flame inside that will bright us light, life, and warmth to navigate through the maze of thoughts and emotions we experience...

 

Only then will your heart and soul truly know peace and be free, only by viewing your life experiences as a means to understand yourself and how to better your life, will be start to cultivate the mind that will enable you to live your life to the fullest!
